About Us

It all started in 1998 when Christian and I (Koleta) met after getting out of the military at the same time. Coincidentally, we both joined seperate branches of the military (unbeknownst to each other), at the exact same month and year. I was in the U.S. Air Force, and Christian, a Marine. The two of us were married after just a few months, but we actually decided to get married after a couple of weeks, and the rest of the time was spent planning the wedding. I guess when you know you have found the right person, it doesn’t take five years of dating to figure it out.

Christian re-enlisted in the Marine Corps, we moved to Jacksonville, NC soon after we were married, because Christian was a Marine, and he was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, “The most beautiful place in the world”, yeah right.

The next few years I was busy going to school, and having our beautiful boys. Christian Alexander Huntsinger was born on July 22, 1999. Casey Robert Huntsinger was born a year-and-a-half later on March 2, 2001 (his Daddy’s and his Grandfather’s birthday). Both of the boys have one of Daddy’s names, which Daddy really wanted.

Then, shortly after Casey was born, Chris had to medically separate from the Marine Corps, because of back issues he had been dealing with for quite a long time….being a Mortarman in the Marines for 7 years will do that.

I then decided to go back into the military, because we enjoyed military life, but as an officer this time, so in April 2003, off I went to Army basic training, then immediately following in July 2003 to Officer Candidate School at Ft Benning, GA, the best (not) 14 weeks of her life!

Chris was Mr. Mom during this time, and then I was commissioned in the United States Army, as a Second Lieutenant.

After my officer basic course, we moved to lovely Ft. Campbell Kentucky. It is actually on the Kentucky, Tennessee state line, so we bought a house in Clarksville, TN in February 2004.

Christian began working at Dancing Dragon Tattoo in Oak Grove, KY immediately after we moved to the area and has worked there ever since, when he is not being Mr. Mom that is.

Christian and Casey have grown quite a bit since we moved to the area. Christian will be starting 2nd grade in the fall, and Casey will be starting Kindergarten, so finally, Daddy will have the whole day to himself, to work on tattooing and his art!

***Koleta is currently in Iraq, and has been since Sep 11th, 2005. She is scheduled to return in Sep 2006, and we are so very excited about it. She is also resigning her commission in the Army to be able to spend more time with her awesome husband and beautiful baby boys! We don’t know what the future holds, but we know it will be awesome, because God has a plan for us, and we will all be in it together!!! I had her write the above page from Iraq... I just edited a little. Hope I didnt mess it up too bad.. Chris

UPDATE... Koleta has returned, and has adjusted well.. We are happy to have her home.. check the message board for further updates...
